  • 26 June 1995, 12-13 March 1996: Held exploratory meetings.

  • 23 December 1996: Registered as Cochrane Collaborative Review Group in Prostatic Diseases.

  • 10 October 1997: Incorporated urologic cancers into scope with consultation and coordination of Iain Chalmers and Chris Williams on behalf of Subgroup of CRG Coordination and approval of chair of the Cochrane Steering Group's Registration Group; changed name to Cochrane Prostatic Diseases and Urologic Cancers Group. 

  • 23 October 2014: Incorporated urology-related renal topics into scope with support of Jonathan Craig on behalf of Cochrane Renal Group and approval of Editor-in-Chief David Tovey and Monitoring and Registration Committee.

  • 22 April 2015: Changed name to Cochrane Urology

  • 01 January 2020: Cochrane Urology, Korean Satellite launches in Wonju, South Korea.
